Cancer Makes you Sick, it Shouldn't Make you Poor

Reducing the cost of cancer is not the real cost

As Bill Shorten is saying, "Cancer makes you sick but it shouldn't make you poor".

After suffering from Cancer last year I certainly know the additional costs involved of having cancer. Bill is talking about the medical costs like x-rays and blood tests. An x-ray can cost between $500-$700 plus the cost of blood tests. But this isn't the real cost of cancer. The real cost of cancer is the LOSS OF INCOME.

Your biggest asset is your ability to go to work. Bill is not talking about replacing your income. He is only talking about paying your medical bills. But who is going to pay your mortgage, your rent, your children's educations, car payments, electricity, house insurance, all the other bills that keep coming in whilst you are not at work because you've had a serious illness like cancer.

Trauma Insurance is about looking after those costs. All the major costs you are still going to have while you are not going to work. And as Bill is quoting 1 out of 2 people will either suffer from cancer or know some-one who has cancer. The odds of having Trauma Insurance is probably going to be the best lottery ticket you've ever bought with a 1 in 2 chance of winning.

Trauma Insurance for children is also a great idea because one specialist said to me, your life changes forever when your child is diagnosed with cancer. Which parent is going to give up work to look after their sick child? This again is a good reason to have Trauma Insurance for your children in-case they are diagnosed with a serious illness, mainly cancer.

Make sure cancer doesn't make you poor by insuring your biggest asset, your income, so you can recover without any financial burden on you and your family.
