Heart Disease - Australia's Biggest Killer

Heart disease affects 17,533 people every year in Australia.  50 people every day or 1 every 30 minutes.  Of those affected by this disease, how many thought they could suffer from a heart attack?  There is a false belief that heart attacks are only something that affects the elderly.  This is not true, while elderly people do suffer heart attacks so do many younger people.  Often it is sudden and without warning, leaving the lives of their families changed forever. 

How many of those affected by heart disease leave some form of financial security for their families?  How many families suddenly become single income families, yet have the same financial responsibilities?  There are many families each year, not only suffering from the loss of a loved one to this disease but also suffering from the financial impacts that go with it.
